LIFTING UP JESUS IN SONG
John 15-13 Greater love has no man than this that he lay down His life for His friends!

Dear Southern Gospel Music Friends, after much prayer and consulting with my family and the men that are my mentors, I have 2 major life decisions that I wish to share with you. After 5 years of traveling and singing with New Promise I took leave of the group to have 2 knee surgeries completed. One is done and I am waiting for the next. During my pre-surgical consultations it was discovered that the pain in my lower back was pretty serious. Once surgery of my lower back is complete I will be unable to travel and sing for upward 6 months. It makes me unreliable to the group. I have decided to not return to New Promise or to seek any position with any other group from this day forward. It is my intention to sing solo and to preach as my body allows me to. If you wish to have me sing at your church or gathering, please call me. I don't think it is fair to be apart of something that I'm not reliable to do.
Secondly, after more then 10 years running and producing Gospel sings in the greater Cambridge area, I will discontinue the Guernsey Gospel Jubilee Association sings at the Cambridge City Park. No matter when my surgery happens next year, it will affect one of the 2, if not both of the sings. There are some personnel that could help, but not enough to keep it going. As of December 31st 2025 I will remove the website and Facebook page. The Guernsey Gospel Jubilee Association was started in the late 1980's and as far as I can count back 1993 was the first official sing. My old friend Sharon Miller said that the first sing was so cold that they wore winter coats to sing. So about 32 years of Gospel singing organized by three former presidents, Quincy Edwards, Judy Woodard, and Tim Thomas. I want to thank the groups and attendees for their faithfulness through the years. As for me, it's a new chapter in my life that I believe the Lord has placed me on. In Christ, Tim Thomas
